GeoSisters runs structured, impact-driven programs designed to empower girls and women and children in geoscience, GIS, surveying, remote sensing, geography and space-related fields. Our activities are tailored for kids, students, early-career professionals, and established practitioners, combining learning, mentorship, and community outreach.

GeoNext Tuesdays (Student Segment)

GeoNext Tuesdays is  student-focused webinar series aimed at supporting geoscience students through their academic journey.

The sessions provide practical guidance on projects, scholarships, and career preparedness while creating a safe space for learning, connecting and asking questions.

GeoVibe Wednesdays (Professional Segment)

GeoVibe Wednesdays is a dynamic professional webinar series designed to keep geoscience and space professionals informed, inspired, and future-ready. The sessions focus on real-world applications, emerging trends, and professional growth in the geospatial and space industries.

GeoSisters Outreach Program

 

The GeoSisters Outreach Program introduces young learners to geospatial sciences at an early age. Through interactive sessions, mentorship, and demonstrations, we inspire students especially girls, to explore STEM, geospatial careers, and space sciences.

Target Audience

  • Primary school students
  • High school students

Frequency

  • Twice per year

Structure

  • One primary school outreach per year
  • One high school outreach per year

 (Specific schools are selected and communicated ahead of each outreach)

  • Include a dedicated section on the website where school heads and administrators can apply to host a GeoSisters outreach program.
  • The application form should capture the school’s full name, the name and contact details of the responsible school official, and a brief description outlining the school’s interest and needs.
  • In addition, provide a clearly visible section that allows visitors to directly contact GeoSisters via email for inquiries and further engagement.

  • Create an open application section for community members who wish to support or participate in GeoSisters outreach programs.
